"Farm Bill Compromise will Impact Montana Food Stamp Recipients," KPAX, January 28, 2014.

"The original House proposal would have cut $40 billion from the SNAP program. This new proposal, although it does have a small impact, the number of Montanans who would be affected and have benefits reduced is drastically smaller than it would have been otherwise," explained Jackie Semmens, a policy analyst with Montana Budget and Policy Center.
