Today, the Montana Advocates for Children and supporting organizations sent a letter to the Department of Public Health and Human Services, urging the department to maintain critical child care assistance for families, including maintaining the higher eligibility for families accessing Best Beginnings scholarships, cap on copays, and stable provider payments to child care businesses. More than 60 organizations, child care small businesses, and direct service providers have joined in asking DPHHS to maintain these critical supports for families and providers, by investing federal ARPA or state surplus funds to continue these provisions.
