Sarah Wilhelm of the Montana Budget and Policy Center said it would greatly improve health care for Native Americans in Montana, as well as reduce the amount of uncompensated care that the state itself pays for.
“Failing to participate in this (expansion) would really be a missed opportunity to improve the health care for so many Montanans,” she said.
