Are you or someone you know looking for leadership experience and interested in the inner workings of policymaking?
The Montana Budget & Policy Center is seeking two individuals to serve on its governing Board of Directors, who can help support the vision and mission of the organization. The MBPC Board of a Directors is a statewide, volunteer board whose time and expertise helps to set the overall strategic vision of the organization.
Members of the board are elected to serve three-year terms, and the board meets on a quarterly basis (March, June, September, December). Most of the meetings are conducted virtually, with one in-person meeting typically in June or September. MBPC covers the costs of travel for board members.
MBPC is seeking board members who are representative of the many areas of work of the organization, and we are especially encouraging individuals to apply who are ages 18 to 24, from rural Montana, from the LGBTQ+ community, and/or bring personal or professional experience or expertise in policy work, including (but not limited to) health, criminal legal, tribal-state, or child well-being policies.
Folks interested in applying can download the form, and the information can be submitted to Heather O’Loughlin at holoughlin@montanabudget.org. For more information on Montana Budget & Policy Center and its board, go to www.montanabudget.org/board.
